I've lived in Barnsley, South Yorkshire for most of my life, and I know it doesn't have the best reputation in the world. The aim of this journal is to cut through the stereotype of Barnsley as a tired and grimy ex-mining town and show just how much natural (and man-made) beauty there is to be found here.
